About

Conceived in the Sixties and born into the Seventies, Mason grew up in a small Lancashire town and moved to Leeds only to escape the wrath of the family of the girl he ran off with. By turns a lowly office worker, cinema projectionist, art house programmer, conference organiser, remote viewer, ordained minister, artist, cyclist, guitarist and depressive.

Formerly a writer on cinema he has completed his first novel, Goodnight Horses and despite working on it for 6 years still cannot adequately describe it’s content to anyone. This is currently under consideration from an independent publisher. His second novel, Thanks Peter God, is being serialised on this website.

His short story, Home, was shortlisted for the Huddersfield Literature Festival’s Less Is More prize in 2010 and should be published in their bi-annual anthology sometime in 2011.
