Why Not Belong?

This is a project I did whilst at art college. I’ll be the first to admit that I’m not really that great at taking photographs but I liked the general idea. I asked various people the question: What does it mean to belong? I wrote down what they said and matched the quotes up with some pictures I’d been taking and then presented it as a booklet. That’s it. Some work, maybe some others don’t. Here are the pictures:

To Be Part Of A Larger Construction

To Be Absorbed

It Means Safety

Feeling Comfortable With Your Surroundings And Yourself

Security… Being Wanted… Having A Place To Stay

To Fit In Somewhere

Contented… Like In A Partnership

Just To Belong
